I know who lost that one. Because at about that same time frame I was out for a run and some guys cassette was loose on his rear hub. He didn't know what to do, so I removed the wheel, hand-tightened the cassette tightener dealie-bob, and told him to ride directly home, not passing go and not collecting $200. No idea whether he made it.
Are you sure that skewer nut hasn't been there since before the last BWR 1200? That would explain your wheel falling off!
ReplyDeleteA couple years ago I was riding on a little country road out in the middle of nowhere, and came across a Shimano 13T cog in the middle of the road.
